Wherever you are in the world on Friday, October 23rd, we encourage you perform random acts of compassion and kindness in your community in memory of Olivia 💜

If you are new to us and are wondering why we hold this event every year, we do it to celebrate and remember Olivia on her big day. For those that knew Olivia personally, you knew her birthday was a not just a big day, it was a month-long event! She took her birthday very seriously and planned starting the day after her previous one.

Every year since her passing we have held our Compassion and Kindness Day to share the wonderful attributes we think of when we think of our Olivia 🩷

2026 Back-to-school Donation

We had the absolute pleasure to drop off a large donation of school supplies and backpacks to the office of the MLA of Dartmouth East. Everything from crayons, pencils and paper to scientific calculators and USB sticks!

For the past 11 years we have made a donation to school supplies and each year the need grows. If you happen to be out and about and see some supplies, consider adding a ream of paper or a package of pencils to drop off to your local school. They will make sure they find their way to a student who can use them.

Thank you everyone who donated backpacks, supplies and money for us to purchase items. We truly appreciate your support 😊

What a huge success 2026 has been so far!

We want to express our sincere gratitude to every single person who made our Annual Silent Auction and Bowling Event such a huge success!

From all of our wonderful supporters who donated items for the silent auction to the bakers to all those who came out last night to bowl, bid and enjoy a spectacular event – we thank you from the bottom of our hearts 🥰

Together we raised $6,108 and once the Booze Board sells out, we can add that and make the total $6,608! Making this one of our most impressive fundraisers to date!!!

As soon as the last 25 squares sell we can draw for the epic Booze Board and the lucky will take home about $1,500 of craft beer, wine, spirits and cider.

A few reflections of 2025

As we begin 2026 we can’t help but think back to all the “great things!” done in memory of our Olivia 💜

Along with donations to community groups we provided 3 post-secondary scholarships to wonderful individuals destined to do their own great things.

Our annual silent auction and bowling event was a huge success. This fun-filled evening celebrates all the things Olivia loved – bowling, laughing with friends, spending money and eating tons of yummy snacks! This event enabled us to even more “great things!” for Olivia!

As always, wedonated back to school supplies and held our first ever Free Family Market which turned out to be even more than we could have imagined- this event more than anything else we have done over the last 10 years embodied Olivia, her compassion, kindness and empathy for others in need 💜. We can’t wait to do it again next year!

We want to thank everyone who donated, supported us through our fundraising and most of all volunteered at our events. We could not do this without your support – thank you from the bottom of our hearts 💜

We look forward to seeing what 2026 will bring us as we welcome it with open hearts and most of all, gratitude.

DONATIONS NEEDED

Olivia’s Trust is collecting new and very gently used items to host our first “Free Market”. This event is being created to help selected struggling families this coming holiday season. We are providing items for all ages and genders so any items are welcome. (Donations can be accepted up to November 19, 2025.)

We are also asking for donations of gift wrap, bags, ribbons, bows, tags, tissue paper, etc. so we can send our families home with beautifully wrapped treasures for their loved ones.

Help us make the coming holiday season a little easier for some families who can use it the most ❤️

Back-To-School Supply Drive 2025

It’s hard to believe it’s that time of year, but here we are and there are many, many families struggling to afford back-to-school supplies for their kids. This is where we, as a community can step up to help those that need it 😊

Once again we are partnering with Tim Halman’s office (MLA for Dartmouth East) to collect and distribute these much needed school supplies. Olivia’s Trust will be buying items that are most needed and sought after to fill any gaps in the donations.

If you are out and about shopping or picking up school supplies and have the means to add a few extra items, you can donate those items to us for distribution to those in need.

You can drop off donations to Tim’s office at 99 Main Street in Dartmouth or at Jym Line Glassware at 23 Venture Crescent in Elmsdale. If you are unable to travel to donate, reach out to us on Facebook or by email (dale@livstrust.com) or call 902-880-6848 and we can make arrangements for a volunteer to come pick up your donation.

Let’s make the 2025-2026 school year memorable for our kids in all the best ways possible 🙂

Wishing a very Merry Christmas to all who celebrate 🎄 we hope you get to spend time with the ones you love and keep those missing in your hearts.

We are so grateful for the support of our family and friends – both old and new. You have this a memorable year and we thank each and every one of you.

Christmas may be tomorrow, but we are already planning for next year. So, if you happen to receive a gift you can’t use or are lucky enough to receive too much, consider donating your items to us for our Free Market event next December. We will be collecting items all year long and will provide more details in 2025
