🎉 Happy New Year 🎉
As we are about to embark on 2017 we would like to take this time to thank everyone who has been a part of Olivia’s Trust. Thank you to those who volunteered their time, made a donation, purchased Olivia’s Signature Tree items and came to our fundraisers in 2016!
Without all of you we would not be able to continue to help Olivia do “great things” 😊
In 2016 we gave a grieving child an opportunity to attend Camp Kedoopse at Brigadoon Village, donated back-to-school backpacks for less fortunate families, provided post-secondary scholarships, provided funds to Hope For Wildlife to help them complete their Country Clinic Veterinary Hospital and care packages for our homeless!
We would also like to thank school administrators for inviting us in to their schools and communities to share “Olivia’s Story“. We can only affect change if people are willing to listen and learn from her mistake.
Our hopes for 2017 are to continue to share “Olivia’s Story” with as many people as possible as well as continue to give back to our community through recipients and organizations Olivia would have wanted to help 💝
Thank you all for your past, present and continued support!
Hope For Wildlife Society Donation
We are so pleased to announce the second of our Christmas 🎄 Giving Committments. It is our donation of $500.00 to Hope For Wildlife to help them complete their Country Clinic!
For those of you unfamiliar with the incredible work Hope Swinimer and her amazing volunteers do in Seaforth, NS, here is their mission Statement: The mission of Hope For Wildlife is “connecting people to wildlife in a positive way – through knowledge and understanding – the Hope For Wildlife Society believes education through rehabilitation is the key to a sustainable future.”
Hope For Wildlife put out a request asking for help to “Complete our Country Clinic” which will have be their new Veterinary Hospital. How could we resist?
Olivia loved animals and she loved to help others so this was the perfect fit for a donation from Liv’s Trust 💗

Christmas Care Packages 2016
Olivia’s kindness for Christmas 2016 will hopefully make life a little more bearable for some of the homeless and less fortunate in HRM when they receive one of Liv’s Trust Christmas Care Packages 💝
Much thought and consideration when in to what we decided to place in our Care Packages. We wanted to make sure the items would be not only be useful, but needed. We also made sure to create packages for men and women as their needs are specific.
Each of our Care Packages 📦 contains the following:
Mittens, hat, socks, assorted toiletries, tissues, reusable cups, instant soup and oatmeal, coffee, hot chocolate, utensils, an assortment of non-perishable food items plus a blanket and a tarp in case they are in need of shelter from the elements.
Over the next two weeks we will be giving out our Care Packages in hopes of sharing Olivia’s compassionate spirit with those less fortunate 💗

2016 Back-To-School Donations!!!
The Olivia Jollota Memorial Trust is so pleased to be able to donate 10 backpacks chock full of all the school supplies a high school student could possibly want for back-to-school!
This is our second year making a back-to-school donation for underprivileged kids. We know Olivia would be so pleased to see the impact her Trust is making in our community! Nicole and I had such a great time picking out the school supplies all the while thinking of the supplies Olivia would have wanted for back-to-school.
Without generous donations from our wonderful supporters and some fantastic fundraising events this type of giving back would not be possible. A special thanks to Staples and Giant Tiger for their great prices and sales which helped us donate so much than last year!

Back-to-School Donation Suggestions
It is almost that magical time of year again!
Back-to-school is just around the corner and many parents/guardians are trying to fulfill their child’s wish list of back-to-school items. The cost associated with such purchases can be daunting for families that can afford to keep up with all the items that the schools now request but can you imagine if you couldn’t afford it – any of it? How heart-breaking that must be for the parent and the child? This is why Olivia would want to help!
Olivia loved school and loved back-to-school shopping even more! So, last year we donated hundreds of dollars worth of back-to-school items to the Parker Street Food and Furniture Bank.
This year we want to donate even more and want to know if any of you have suggestions on organizations that will be collecting items to help out less fortunate families in our community. Please let us know by leaving a comment on this post or by contacting us through our Face Book “Like” page at the Olivia Jollota Memorial Trust.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions!!!
